Phil’s short fiction is often infused with dialogue, humour and hapless protagonists. He is inspired by masters of the short form including George Saunders, Miranda July, Adam Marek, Lydia Davis, J.D. Salinger, Raymond Carver and Alice Munro.

About the website — This website was designed by Chris Jackson using WordPress with Elementor and Shapely. The main font is Poppins. It was originally a gift for Phil’s 40th (hence the ‘40’ easter egg) and Phil has been bastardising the site ever since.
